ABOUT VEX RED
This UK rock band was formed in Aldershot, Hampshire, in the mid-90s by Sean Buckingham
(vocals), Keith Lambert (b. 5 January 1977, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England; bass/programming),
Ant Forbes (b. Anthony James Forbes, 5 July 1977, Dartford, Kent, England; guitar/keyboards),
and Nick Goulding (b. Nicholas James Goulding, 9 July 1977, Frimley, Hampshire,
England; guitar/bass). They spent several years trying to earn a recording contract,
playing to small crowds in dingy venues and generally struggling to make a breakthrough.
The recruitment of Terry Abbott (vocals/guitar) in 1999 helped fine-tune their
sound, a gloomy fusion of hard rock and contemporary electronica. The band's saviour
came in the form of renowned US producer Ross Robinson.
