ABOUT LIVE
Formed in York, Pennsylvania in the mid-'80s, Live forged a solid, steadily-advancing career path, building their reputation on extensive touring and stunning live shows. Edward Kowalczyk (vocals), Chad Taylor (guitar), Patrick Dahlheimer (bass) and Chad Gracey (drums) released their first album,Mental Jewelryin 1991. The album, based on the writings of Indian philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti, went gold and was followed in 1994 by the six-times platinum Throwing Copper. The latter merited a four-star review in Rolling Stone, praising the band's ability to "drop musical smart bombs with unerring precision." By early 1995, Throwing Copper had spawned three memorable hits with "Selling The Drama," "I Alone," and "Lightning Crashes."
