ABOUT AFI
Despite several line-up changes and even a temporary disbandment, A.F.I. (A Fire
Inside) are not only revivalists, but hardcore punk survivors. High school friends
Davey Havok (vocals), Markus Stopholese (guitar), Vick (bass) and Adam Carson
(drummer) met in Ukiah, California and formed a band in the summer of 1991, practicing
in each other's garages in between skateboard sessions. Vick left early on but
was replaced by Geoff Kresg, allowing the members to play as a full band at a
few local gigs and put out a 7-inch with another local band called Loose Change
and an EP titled Behind the Times.
